Estrogen Dominance Can Cause Increased Health Risks
I am including several breast cancer research studies that I think you will find not only interesting, but beneficial to yourself or a family member or friend who is wanting to learn more about breast cancer research. I have formatted these research studies into a PDF document for easier viewing. Click on the above link to download a copy.
Dr. John Lee and Dr. David Zava authored the book What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Breast Cancer – How Hormone Balance Can Help Save Your Life. This book was published in 2002, prior to the early halting of the Women’s Health Initiative in that same year. I recommend this book to all my patients and anyone interested in actively preventing cancer or decreasing the risk of a recurrence if they have already had the disease. It’s an importance book for all women to learn how they can become more proactive in terms of promoting breast health. Important factors addressed in this book include 1) stress, 2) prescription estrogens (synthetic), 3) diet, and 4) environmental estrogens.
In his book on Breast Cancer, Dr. Lee describes estrogen dominance which occurs in females when the ratio between natural progesterone and estradiol (one of 3 different estrogens) is too low. Estrogen dominance can cause a myriad of unpleasant symptoms, and also can put a female at higher risk for breast cancer.
